  • Solstice Festival celebrates Northamptonshire’s creativity, with a family day festival that shines a light on the talented performers, artists, makers, traders, retailers, charities and activity leaders from across the county.

  • The festival takes place on 21st June at Duston Mill, Northants. NN5 5FP, right next to Sixfields Stadium. The event runs from 12pm – 11pm. Be sure to check our official website or social media for updates.

  • Tickets can be purchased online through our official website www.solsticefestival.co.uk. We offer different ticket tiers, including family discount tickets. Ask in your community or visit our charity partners social media for discount codes to get tickets at discounted rates.

  • Solstice Festival is open to all ages. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Bring a chair or blanket, sun screen, shades, hats, umbrellas (fingers crossed we don’t need them!), small backpacks, and reusable water bottles. Prohibited items include weapons, illegal substances, outside alcohol, and large umbrellas.

  • Please support out local food traders who have a diverse offer of yummy food and drink options, including vegan and gluten-free choices. Outside food and drinks are not allowed. Snacks and food for little ones are allowed, please don’t take the mick!

  • Only service animals are permitted. Please leave pets at home for their safety and comfort.

  • Yes, there will be on-site parking available at £2 for the day. We encourage cycling, walking and using public transportation to reduce environmental impact.

  • Entry and re-entry is permitted until 9pm

  • Yes, we strive to make Solstice Festival accessible for everyone. Please note, this is a natural setting and outdoor venue. Some areas do not have hardstanding and may become challenging in poor weather. There will be designated ADA parking and accessible toilets. If you require specific accommodations, please contact us in advance.

  • Carers come free. Free entry for carers with any paying adult or child ticket.

  • The festival will go on rain or shine. In case of severe weather, updates will be provided through our website and social media channels.

  • We have security personnel, medical staff, and emergency response teams on-site to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

ABOUT THE SOLSTICE

Solstice a time of renewal, light, and connection. Our festival is designed to bring families and friends together for a day filled with fun, entertainment, and unforgettable experiences - celebrating Northamptonshire’s creativity.

For centuries, cultures around the world have celebrated the summer solstice as a time of abundance, gratitude, and unity. From ancient pagan gatherings at Stonehenge to Scandinavian Midsummer feasts, people have long marked this day as a tribute to the sun’s life-giving energy. It’s a time to embrace nature, celebrate growth, and strengthen the bonds of community—values that are at the heart of Solstice Festival.

Even our next-door neighbour, Milton Keynes, was designed with the summer solstice in mind. The city's designers, led by architect and planner Derek Walker, intentionally aligned Midsummer Boulevard so that on 21st June, the rising sun perfectly lines up along its path from the train station to Campbell Park. This striking feature echoes ancient traditions of honouring the sun’s journey and makes our celebration even more special.

From live music and interactive workshops to delicious food and exciting activities for all ages, Solstice Festival is a space where everyone can celebrate the magic of the changing seasons. Whether you’re here to dance, explore, or simply soak in the festive atmosphere, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
